We completed three days of intensive listening sessions with approximately 85 residents in San Luis Tlaxialtemalco in Mexico City’s Xochimilco borough.

These sessions are part of our ongoing work to understand how local communities are experiencing the climate crisis. They also support communities’ capacity to lead equitable and culturally grounded climate action.

Together, we explored themes of mobility, environmental justice, and community well-being. These meaningful conversations were filled with insight, hope, and even moments of music. They offered a deeper understanding of what it means to build flourishing, resilient neighbourhoods from the ground up.
